Hi everyone, it's wednesday which means there's studio class today, which again means sleepless night on tuesday ;)
for today's studio class, we have to submit our designer's patterns based on their design philosophy and aspect of their products. my designer is Patricia Urquiola, an Italian architect as well as Industrial designer. I love her work, i think she's amazing...i love her simple design and how she likes to bring memories from the product she's designed.
“I am nostalgic when it is possible, I am not nostalgic when it is not possible” is Patricia’s design philosophy. As we can see from her project, she focuses on the comfortable iconic traditional design and she adapts it with the contemporary design. She likes to work with craft materials, to produce a stylish and yet comfortable furniture.
Patrizia Urquiola also uses weaving and her very feminine way of experimenting continually with materials, shapes and details, always manages to astonish the users by creating increasingly innovative and thrilling design concepts.
My designer's pattern is based on her design concept called antibodi. I took it from its armchair designs, Here's the pictures below:
And this is my dynamic black and white gradation as well as my complimentary colour patterns:

Unique Bottles
Hi everyone =) i was just having some thoughts and ideas for my communication A project...it's called a structure and surface project...and we have to find an object in which we can divide it symmetrically, so then i tried to find varieties of unique bottles that exist in our society.
Here are the pictures of my findings, i reckon it's really interesting =)

Walk abouts 2011
As a first year industrial design student, i was so confused about the whole ideas of walkabouts...it's our first studio class and we met up at Bronte surfing life club while the activities are done around Bronte beach. There are 3 activities we are required to do, 1) do the line sketchings around bronte beach 2) live drawing (when we got to do draw a real object 3) we got to do hip hop dancing! (rhythm module)
Another exciting activites we got to do is that we had to make a kite in a group of 4-5 people... i remember my childhood when i played kites around my house complex.
When i did my research about kite, here is the explanation:
A kite is a flying device (aircraft) that remains tethered to an anchor point that may be static or moving.
our group came up with the idea of making a fish shape kite with the wind socks technique of trapping the air. Here is the picture of our kite:
I also took some photos of Bronte beach....

Welcome!
Hi everyone, welcome to this personalized design blog. I am an industrial design student from UNSW and in this blog i will put up all the things related to industrial designs and all the resources of my design inspirations. I am sure as an industrial design there will be lots of ups and downs, gladness and sad times (especially when the work I’ve done doesn’t go well or screwed up). Hope you enjoy flicking through the blog =)
